In addition to this, a sasaeng even entered his house while he was fast asleep, climbed on top, took a photo and later uploaded it by claiming that she even kissed him in his sleep, as if it was some heroic task and not an illegal, horrifying action. Clicking photos of him in the house and sending him. In the latest reveal, he talked about the times when he was promoting in a group and the experiences he had on Naver NOW's show called 'Nighttime Workshop'. He shared that the obessive fans would enter his house, click pictures of the kitchen, his room, him and send him to his mobile phone, while he was in the house.
It was just one of the many creepy expreiences the idol has had. He even wondered where they got a hold of his mobile number! One of the most horrifying incident. Back then, just catching a sasaeng didn't hold much importance if the police wouldn't take any charge. In 'Nighttime Workshop', he shared a story about the time when he caught a toxic fan. He got so surprised that he banged the door shut. He opened it again and saw no one but could hear someone running down the stairs.
He chased them at full speed and when he got a hold of them, he realised it was a sasaeng. Of course they can come to visit you. Why are you reporting them? When he ended up suffering sleep paralysis. In the same sh ow, he also shared that he suffered sleep paralysis for the first time after his debut because of these sasaengs. It was when the Korean movie 'Hide And Seek' came out and closer to the day of the incident mentioned above.
I haven't decided if I like JJ's acting per se, as I only watched him once in Protect the Boss, but I for one am not feeling as loss to swap him for Mr. Handtowel, veiny and 'I-am-so-handsome' the latter maybe.
Good for him junsu tbh. I mean, Cjes has an oddly great connections in the drama industry so they could've gotten him whatever roles he likes if he had wanted to act Junsu doesn't like acting, he said it himself that he prefers to be on stage rather than act in front of a camera.
He got offers before but he firmly said he do not like to go on acting, he prefers to use his free time off musicals, concerts and album promotion playing soccer under his team FC MEN instead.
Which is good for him since he already won Best Actor in there and is widely acknowledge as musical actor. So if he accept this one then they will have to delay JYJ's comeback again which is highly unlikely since they will already have to enlist by early next year and they said it themselves that they want to make a comeback album before thy enlist. I don't think the drama will delay their comback ,cos it's supposed to finish in the middle of July and Jaejoong can participate in the comback activities at the same time.
He probably has written a few songs for the group album this month as he mentioned in an interview last month. He needs to comback on screen before enlisted for the military. His fans desire for it, and it's better to do sth meaningful during the vacant months before JYJ's comback instead of doing nothing. I respect that about him. He know where his strengths lie and he sticks to that, instead of foraying into something bigger than him like most idols.
Although, tbh, I wish Jaejoong did the same. He is a phenomenal singer, but there is something off about his acting. It's a combination of inexperience, unusually good looks as weird as that sounds and meek speaking voice.
He knows his weaknesses, hence he said he'd never take on a main leading role in a drama. Ah, if they can promote at the variety department, I think JJ might be the one in charge if variety.
Yoochun for drama and junsu for musical. Unfortunately this is the only venue he as a leader can help promote JYJ in tv. I doubt Jae considers acting a weakness. He's never been. He is inexperienced? But I guess it's because he's being as cautious as he can be and seeing his nature as a perfectionists, it's understandable.
Just let him be. He will master in this if he wants. He always does. Lol his speaking voice is probably one of his most attractive features. He still doesn't have much experience, but he's been doing quite well so far and lack of experience is not something that can't be helped xD His looks might be a problem if he wants to impersonate a normal next door guy, but it can also become a strength for other type of roles. Specifically for the blockbuster-charming ones ;D.
I sound like a broken record by now, with the age obsession in this fandom, but I don't mind the age gaps. Siblings with huge gaps exist.
What is be odd and worrying is the skill level and also the types of artists involved. Most of us can remove ourselves enough from reality when watching a work to see the characters, rather than actors, but to a lot of drama fans, this will just be two pretty idols and an ajeossi. Song is by far a worse actor than Jae Joong, but that's a pretty low bar to begin with, since the latter is not lead material either. Especially in a melodrama. A good actor of the in-between age and without carrying the "idol" tag around, which some people will inevitably mind, would bring balance.
So if I do take this seriously for a moment, I can't say I like this possibility any better than Song. But let's see. I don't expect much anyway. I was actually wishing that Song would join so I can have my laughs with a possible repeat of the 'Dr.
Jin' level of fail. Yeah, I completely agree with you. It's not the age that matters siblings over 10 years apart do exist , it's definitely who they've chosen. There must be other options in Jaejoong's age range that could handle this sort of material which imo, he definitely cannot.
It doesn't bother me that he's an idol, but it does bother me that we now only have one good actor who can pull their weight in this cast and Oh Yeon Soo of course. There is nothing implausible about large age gaps between siblings, especially in parents with multiple marriages, but also not implausible in siblings with the same parents.
And I do not think that a 44 year old will necessarily feel like a father figure to a 28 year old I am using actor ages here, approx. Also, is there is an assumption here being applied to actors ages correlating to character ages? The characters may easily be much younger or older than the actual actor. I don't even bat an eye at idol casting. It's not going away. I'm pretty much part of the Yoda School of Drama Watching. Review your pros and cons on a drama, and watch or watch not, lol.
I don't really care about the numbers either, mainly it has to do with the chemistry.. Is it tangible? Do they look AND feel like brothers? Not just visually but can they build a certain kind of rapport that would convince the audience of the relationship? It's like that for me in every drama, age difference I could care less about. Agreed but if its song seung heon I think it might throw me off a little bit more Adorable old guy,Sexy Middle brother and cute little baby But I think he will do well.
Maybe someone had the bright idea that those guys would step up their acting since they have Lee Beom Soo to act with. He can be the Idol whisperer. I am loving that phrase and I am using it, because I think this is what is happening here. Toss him All The Idols! I agree, there seems to be a lot of age related discrimination in Kdrama fandom.
Whoever is trolling us with these casting news has achieved his goal, I'm going to watch this just to see how bad it will be! Giving to Jaejoong a role originally intended for Song Seung Hun? The only thing these two actors have in common is their gender, their appearance in Dr Jin and the very very vast potential for improvement regarding their acting skills.
I am curious to see the dynamics between those three as brothers. Though siblings with big age gaps exist and I'm one of them , I hope they'll have a good way to explain how the oldest lost track of the other two, because he'd have a considerable age by the time the youngest was born. Anyway, I wouldn't be so worried about Jaejoong's acting, but rather the gangster role which I find it difficult to picture him in. Though I was also apprehensive about his role in Dr. Jin and he was the only thing worth seeing in that drama.
They mention their father, so I am guessing something tore them apart in a violent fashion. The oldest would have probably been close to an adult when it happened. It's 20 years ago and Lee definitely does not look under , so his character would have been when it happened.
Unless force or amnesia good Dramagods, no were involved, I also don't see what his excuse could be. My husband was 19 years old when his youngest brother was born so big age gaps are not uncommon even among full siblings. I like Jaejoong as an actor. He has a sweet, sincere but flirty quality about him which translates well to film.
He has lots of potential for growth and improvement. The age is fine in terms of realism, but it does raise the issue of how they got separated, if we look at their ages. How do they plan to explain how the oldest brother lost the younger ones? If he were not legally an adult when it happened let's say 20 , then they would have taken the kids away from him and there's our explanation. At 20, he still would have been a minor and maybe he went back for them a year later, but they were gone.
There is no way they will make him younger than so when they got separated. Lee can manage looking around 40, but younger than that and we'll get 'Giant' silliness all over again.
On the other hand, if they go with Lee's own age and the character is 44 now so 24 when they got separated , then something else must have happened for them to lose each other. If he were legally an adult, he would have raised them himself, so what happened and why did he lose them then?
Gee, good questions so I guess we will have to watch this drama because it beats me. I'm still completely baffled by how a control freak, bad boyfriend with serious stalker issues like Kim Tan ended up with the girl in Heirs and that ended weeks ago. I watched the first episode of Giant and then never went back to it. Are these brothers supposed to be full siblings or what? Don't they just have the same father but different mothers?
Isn't the Dad some kind of serial seducer and abandoner of women and his offspring end up in different orphanages? Otherwise, you're right - why doesn't the oldest brother know what has happened to the younger brothers as, if the youngest of his brothers is now 22, he would have to be in his late teens upon time of orphaning. Unless the Mom is just really, really careless. I haven't watched a lot of K-dramas and this feels pretty tired and shopworn even to me. The premise sounds nice and I don't mind the age gap, either.
I can buy the two younger siblings being born in a closer time frame. My own sister has a decade on me and my brother eight years, lol and I don't think Jaejoong looks so young that he can't play thirty or so. Basically it could be a sort of inverse of me and my own siblings, where the youngers are born close together for me the olders are born close together. Also, I like Jae Joong the actor. He might not be able to give the most nuanced performance or much pathos he has some and has given me feelings in the past, lol but he's natural and I never feel like I am watching his past character or him play himself.
My first impression of them was as actors. I first knew Jaejoong from "Sunao ni Narenakute". I see Jaejoong and Yoochun as actors first. The youngest being the furthest in age compared to the elder siblings is far more common than the vice versa version, cos the youngests tend to be surprise babies like my mom, heh heh. But it doesn't mean that the opposite can't happen. But when it happens, it usually implies that the first child was unexpexcted and probably was conceived when the parents were young and unstable yet in life.
Its really is sooooo baffling to me how Idol actors in korea are immediately perceived as bad actors while in Japan, they are never labeled as an idol actor in the first place!! This tag to idols who venture into acting is really getting on my nerves, I have seen sooooo many professional actors in korean drama that seriously just make me wanna laugh, and I can honestly say that there are only a few idol actors that come of to me as bad actors from the beginning.
I saw Jaejoong in Protect The Boss and he has this charisma that makes him very likable. Plus a gangster role is not really that hard to master. I really like the fact that He isn't choosing roles that focus on his pretty face, I can see that he is making the effort to be seriously taken into consideration when it comes to acting. Some aren't even good looking and are bad actors and still gets leading roles, they just need to be from Johnny's Company.
I loved him in Protect the Boss. I haven't even heard of his music group, but I like him because of his acting in PTB. I'm not sure that's true, for example, I don't think anyone has perceived Kim Woobin as bad, in fact, I would argue he's better than some of actor-actors he's co-starred with.
There are also plenty of bad Japanese idol actors out there and that everyone knows are bad! But, that's my subjective feeling don't have any numbers to back that up. I'm using words loosely here, throwing all people who start out in some other industry to go into acting because it's the thing to do in many case with underwhelming results.
I don't think that's true: rather, idols stick to idol dramas, and real actors stick to real dramas, with very little mixing unless the idol is ridiculously famous, or has proven themselves a decent actor.
He was pretty good in Protect the boss. I don't know, he has the kind of charisma that drags you in. It's something that most of idol actors and even some actors leak. I'm watching this. I didn't think he did a bad job in Protect The Boss actually, as for age gaps, they can be closed if you have a good script and acting to begin with, so I don't see why I should shoot this drama down without even watching it yet.
So bring it on Dramaland! Xiah Junsu — a name that one cannot forget when listening to his voice. This is because his recording and live performances have no difference; it is exactly the same or even better. Junsu has always showed his wonderful professionalism in singing and performing — he has never failed to impress me. Junsu will always remain my Prince of Perfectionist! This letter is my very personal opinion on my reaction to support my own chosen role of models.
I hope that fans will always continue to support your own idols faithfully. I will not be using any names from any side because it is an unfair treatment to one another. The blend of JYJ voices has given me a mixed feeling of happiness and sadness.
The lyrics say that JYJ is always in love with us, believing in us and thanking us for always staying by their side even at the hardest time. They cannot express their sorrow and how hurt they are since the lawsuit started, hence they can only pose their feelings out in their songs. Every day, JYJ is walking with loneliness to everywhere. A high wall has been installed to stop them from achieving their own dreams. Nonetheless, our love is the only connection to take down this visible wall.
Our love for JYJ is unchangeable — many of us are their fans since ancient times and we remain with them until today. JYJ trusts us that we will be their light to pave this road ahead for them in order to succeed as one family. Long Way cites that life is a long journey and even if JYJ is lost, they will definitely find a way to walk out from the jungle. There is a white, clean road in front and we should be holding hands together with JYJ to walk forward as stated in the song.
Even though it is a long and tiring walk, somehow it is still worth the value. Although many people do not understand the truth, JYJ will not tell a lie as well as us fans who not to spread any unreasonable rumours.
One day, the rain will wash away all these lies and the sun will brighten up for us to sing together with JYJ. All we need to do is to look ahead and walk forward. W is the most heart-breaking song I ever heard from JYJ. When one looks up to the sky at night, you will find W stars which link together the original five members of TVXQ. However, due to differences in dreams, TVXQ has split up. No matter what happens, we fans need to accept this fact and not be delusional.
True enough, JYJ keeps all the past memories deep in their hearts — it is difficult even for us, fans to forget all the happiness that we used to share together. But, today we know clearly who JYJ is and what are their dreams, hence why not use this chance to bring JYJ soaring high again? It is not a goodbye to any side or we cannot resume as one in the future but it is only a way to rewrite history once again.
An unclear window by the corner of the room,. A huge locked door to let loose,. Struggling through gloomy passageways,. Trying to discover freedom and happiness,. An image that has vanished in the mind.
Holding back tears without sadness,. Pains that have become unhurt,.
