You can first find Corki in the Burning Blade ruins, sitting in a cage and yelling insults like "Hey fatso! How can you go to the bathroom with all that fat? You need to kill ogres until they drop the Boulderfist Key. It has a low drop rate but it shouldn't take you too long. Once you free Corki you can turn in the quest to his father in Telaar. His father will give you yet another quest to free corki. The name of the quest is Corki's gone missing again!.
He can be found in the back of the cave in Northwind Cleft. Sometimes though rarely he can also be found in the Southwind Cleft. Make sure to pick up the quest [66]The Twin Clefs of Nagrand before you start, since you'll be on a killing spree anyway. You need to grind on ogres again until you get the key to free Corki with.
The key goes on your keyring so be sure to check it every so often. Free Corki and return to his father in Telaar. There are many more quests in Telaar to do for rep, but now we will concentrate on the grinding aspect. Grinding for Beads! You may turn these in, ten at a time in Telaar for rep per turn in. So save the warbeads!!! You also can find Oshugun Crystal Powder off the ogres.
You may turn these in 20 at a time in Halaa. New to Nagrand? Halaa is a pvp city that can be captured by either the Horde or Alliance. Say Halaa is controlled by the Alliance, if the horde kills all 15 guards they may capture Halaa. You may only turn in Crystal Powder when Halaa is controlled by your faction For every 20 powders you turn in you receive a Halaa Research Token. These tokens along with Halaa Battle Tokens If you battle the opposing faction in a fight over Halaa you get one token per Honor Kill can be turned in next to the quartermaster for prizes.
You start at unfriendly with them and have to do Quests in Zangarmarsh at the Orebor Harborage in order to reach Neutral and unlock the remaining quests. Alliance players start unfriendly with the Kurenai. First, do ALL the quests listed below.
That will probably bring you close to Revered. The exact ending rep will vary due to the number of ogres and Kil'sorrow agents killed while completing the quests. Now here's the hard part. Grinding for Obsidian Warbeads.
You should get an average of one bead for every three ogres killed. You can turn them in at Telaar for reputation per If you obtain 50 Obsidian Warbeads , that's reputation. The amount of ogres to obtain that many beads is about That's reputation from the killing, and reputation from cashing in the beads, rep total.
If you manage to get to Revered with them from the quests, then you'll have to grind for about beads, or approximately ogres. You get 10 reputation for each ogre you kill, so also consider that if you get one set of beads for every three ogres you kill, you've got about rep 30 ogres for every ten beads you collect, give or take.
Post away! I'll consider waiting on the quests for the kurenai if that's the case here. Comment by wow I forgot I posted. I would assume for preferences there are colors. Would really appreciate it if you could answer this questions for me, one of my main concerns. Thank you. Comment by In 2. Comment by The best ive found to farm rep for these guys is in Nagrand, and grind in 2 caves either Northwing cleft or South, killing these ogres will net you 11 rep each, with the south having more higher respawn rate from what ive seen and also you get obisidan war beads, witch are rep with consortium.
I have just reach exalted from just farming here for 2 days.. The rest will be grinding, so it should be around kills. So that's actually 24,, and I need around 21, Comment by In all of the areas where grinding reputation with Kurenai is possible, ogres come as a mix of casters and melee, thus making it impossible to solo aoe grind them to any extent.
As a mage, I would advice you to stay away from the north and southwind clefts since the melee ogres in those areas charge you. Personally I did my rep grind at the burning blade ruins, went smoothly enough, just interrupt the boulderfist mystics in that area before then can finish casting their heal or kill them before they have a chance to get it off and you should be alright. Comment by Where do i turn in the Warbeads? The drums are all extremely useful, and they aren't a horrible recipe to skill up on, as they will likely come in useful to you.
The speed drums are always appreciated, and the healing drums can always give a nice boost in rough situations. The best part is that the drums are available at Honored, which is incredibly easy to attain. At Revered, there's some nice rewards, again another LW recipe that you may consider picking up.
The Alchemy transmute is a bit weak, as fire is almost always more plentiful than Earth. A very solid blue pair of pants for casters or healers is available here as well. At Exalted, it's mostly vanity items. The Talbuks are awesome and not expensive at all at exalted, and Kurenai has a very nice looking tabard.
The equipment is generally not worthy of note at exalted, though the cape is very attractive before getting some of the higher end instance capes. A fun faction that I like the flavour of a lot, and very steady to grind with, no way to screw it up at all.
I think more factions should be like this, so you don't have to worry about 'wasting' quests and the like. Maces grant a chance of stun, but you can stun with a Piercing Howl - or at least reduce their movement speed; in my opinion, if you are going to put points into a two hander and not be tanking, then the axe far surpasses the mace. Comment by Allakhazam Look at the Thrallmar Axe vs. The HH longsword. It's pretty clear that Blizz feels that Allies are supposed to spec sword, and Horde gets axes.
Never mind that axes are the shizz, and swords suck it long, and suck it hard, that's the way that Blizz's cookies crumble. Comment by Thottbot so im to revered, lvl 70 finished all the nagrand and zangarmarsh quests for em, i gotta start grinding early? Comment by Thottbot It doesn't matter when you turn in beads guys. You get faction for kills into exalted. No advantage to saving the beads or the quests for a certain level.
Comment by Thottbot What is the difference between the riding talbuks and the war talbuks?
