You may have noticed that we, at Curt Landry Ministries, light the Shabbat candles, which are placed in a seven-lamp Menorah, every Friday night, following the Hebraic custom to usher in and thank the Lord for His Sabbath rest. In a traditional Jewish home, the Shabbat candles are lit by a woman of the house just before sunset on the Sabbath.

At the Jewish temple, the golden Menorah was lit during the daytime.
We light our Chanukiah after sundown and keep it lit all night until the candles naturally blow out. There are also Menorahs placed in synagogues as ornaments as they are beautiful decorations and remind the Jews of the temples which were destroyed.
The difference between the Hanukiah and Menorah is that the Hanukiah is lit on the festival of Hanukkah and the Menorah is not. The menorah is just a symbol representing the Jewish faith. Share 1K. Pin Printable Hanukkah Fun Download and print 23 Hanukkah puzzles and coloring pages.
